Grew up fishing here and I use to catch nice size bass in a single day. Now because the lake is beyond pressured I don't catch as much as I use to. I wouldn't recommend simply because it's over fished with a ton of new anglers and not to mention the amount of people that just hangout near the water making it impossible to fish.
Most of the time you catch you catch a good amount of fish but you can get snagged a lot.
It’s overall an amazing lake for fishing just not really great for parking.
I fly fish, this lake isn’t the best place for it. Fishing in general, super crowded almost all the spots will be taken up by people just relaxing or reading. So it’s tough to get a spot on the water. Be prepared to move around as well as the fish will move from the area. Caught a few bluegills. I’d say avoid this place due to the crowds unless it’s nearby then by all means enjoy.
The bites been slow this summer but this ya still been a favorite spot lately.
