Old Hickory Lake (Cumberland River)

this place was where I caught my first bass ever! that was 15years ago. I have caught a lot of bass, catfish, and skipjack from this beautiful lake!

Old Hickory Lake is an excellent place to fish, but only if you know where to go! This is a highly pressured lake and sometimes finding a good spot can be a challenge. However, there are some truly behemoth catfish in this lake…if you can find them!

This is a beautiful lake with good fishing and waterfowl hunting 🦆🐟

Found my spot so I’ve been catching a fish each time I go except one time when the water was low. Hoping to get the kayak out and see what else I can catch.

I had lots of bites and saw so many bass!It’s also very easy to park, and VERY big.

The spot we chose was a little cove next to a boat dock. Some guys in a really trashed out Honda civic and a rusty old square body truck took the piece and quiet away for about an hour seeing who’s vehicle was louder. The spot has provided 15 pound catfish in the past but today, nothing was caught other than a sunburn 🤣
