Lake Woodlands is the first lake I’ve had to study and learn to be able to consistently catch fish. There are some seriously monsterous Largies hanging out in the north end, and plenty of catfish hanging out everywhere. The concrete banks on the north end produce quite consistently with large plastics and squarebill cranks. There’s lots of broken rock and structure along the edges they like to sit in. Most of my strikes come from twitching the bait off the top of a rock and it gets hit on the fall.

They bite hard and are super Aggressive..love it brought my wife and brother in law here and they both caught their first fish each (respectively) A different variety of fish from Crappie, to Bass, Catfish, Gar, Panfish..best times are low light conditions early morning or late in the evening....doesn’t mean you can’t get bit at 3pm..water clarity is normally not to clear but every now and again you can get some clear water and sight fish em right out of there All in All great place to fish 5 out of 5 #FishbrainChallenge
