Martindale Pond

Martindale has a great diversity of fish species to target. And many of them can get to a substantial size for the area. Everything from pan fish to Muskie. From the bank or from a kayak/canoe, Martindale pond can provide you with a great day of fishing.

Its a decent spot to throw a line out.. there's a nice variety of fish to catch. I've caught some nice looking catfish, a beast of a salmon, trout, carp, a smallmouth bass, rock bass, crappie, walleye, and a few others. I've seen some monster sized carp right along the edges underneath the bridge going into Port Dalhousie, which you're able to cast a line to from the little pathway that leads off of the sidewalk on the bridge.. Also, at the right time of year, if you're lucky.. there are some beautiful salmon and trout that tend to run up stream towards the waterfall by the small walking bridge in Port Dalhousie (the one across from the Tim Hortons). You can cast your lines off of the bridge itself or from the pier on the other side and with the right setup, you should have a solid chance at hooking a monster sized fish!
