Parrotfish are funny. Sometimes they look the same but aren't the same and other times they look different but aren't different.  They are pretty to look at until a large one is swimming at you with its mouth open and those teeth exposed. 

Striped parrotfish. Another cool fish that has become a common catch each trip to south Florida. The blue boarder on the tail helps to tell these apart from the princess parrotfish. 

Third day and third striped parrotfish. The only parrotfish caught on the third day but there were some huge ones down there of a different variety. I had hoped to find a better spot for targeting reef fish but with the high wind, high bridges and rain it was difficult. I heard that if I was to continue further south there are better spots. I'd like to spend a few weeks down there some day. This particular parrotfish didn't spook when I dropped my bait in the water and actually swam over rather quickly to eat compared to all the others that seem to spook so easily.
