The brook trout inhabits clear, cold mountain streams and lakes and prefer to remain undercover submerged logs and rocks. Approach the area from downstream cautiously and cast upstream as they can be shy. In large rivers, they stay close to rapids and waterfalls as they like bubbles, they're also found in deep pools.
