I've just recently got into fishing mostly have bass and trout in my area. Is my bait and lures good? Is there anything else I should buy?

Went fishing yesterday and the bass were too small for my regular crank baits, and realized I didn’t have a lot of smaller sized ones even for panfishing. Cue a Walmart trip today and a handful of delightfully cheap lures from a brand I’ve fished from forever. What are y’all’s thoughts? Have y’all used these before for either bass or panfish? The singular one I had yesterday zipped around in the water like a little minnow, which was pleasing to myself and the fish who kept after it. But I’m curious about everyone else’s experience

So I'm planning a nighttime fishing trip, which I've never been. Besides a worm on a sinker on the bottom. What are some good nighttime lures? And what colors? I'm going for bass, catfish, anything that bites at night. Lol. I look forward to any advice or tips. Keep them lines tight

What would be a good lure or bait for large mouth bass?

Hello all. Fairly new to surf fishing specifically but wanted to get some advice from y’all! 1. I use frozen shrimp for bait. It’s been doing well but I notice sometimes the bait comes off the hook easily. And advice on other bait or proper ways to hook? 2. I notice some of my hook knots have been coming loose. Should I try the Palomar knot? 3. What the best rig for surf fishing; or fishing in general here in FL? I currently use a swivel with a hook and a lead weight about a foot above the swivel loop tied. 4. What pound test line should I be using and what brand? Monofilament okay? 5. What size circle hook do you guys recommend? Thanks in advance!
