Sight fished this naked goby under the headlamp. Little guy got some parasites on his belly

Saw a bunch of small pompano, short bigeye, crevalle jacks, a tomcod and a spotted hake in Montauk. Unfortunately my luck fishing lately has been incredibly horrible as of late so I haven’t managed anything too interesting on a hook

In this episode I traveled to the Chesapeake Bay in Maryland to track down some new species of fish for my lifelist! The fish I was after is easier to catch after dark so I began fishing around 8:45pm. Fishing was tough as I realized I had mistimed the tides. It’s best to fish low tide for greater visibility when looking for saltwater micros, but I was here at high tide. Luckily I was able to catch lifer #155 on the tanago hooks with a small piece of grass shrimp!
