My 200th catch is a special one! Not sure if it counts since it was literally stuck in the sand and I just grabbed it with my hands 😂 released it in a small pool after. Upon further research it appears to be a Margined Madtom (a small catfish species). Fish & Game survey found them on the Merrimack in Manchester, and this was just slightly downstream under the railroad bridge at the Heritage trail.

Second pic is unrelated shot of a massive carp I saw while wading not too far from the bridge. Gonna get a cheap surfcast/baitrunner setup to hopefully catch one next year🤞

Didn’t think this was worth posting, I thought it was a just a baby bullhead but now I think that this is a smaller type of catfish called a margined madtom. I’m posting tho cuz new species
