Caught a grimmer on metal slug. Targeting School Mackerel but didn’t get any.

Finally got offshore on Sunday. Scattered thunderstorms and 3ft seas kept us close and we we’re curtailed by trolling motor problems. Caught a bunch of grunts, small vermilions, remoras, and small sea bass on the first few spots before we were forced to drift fish. But while drifting I was able to catch 3 new species I’ve never caught before: sand diver (#386), snakefish (#387), and a dusky flounder (#388). Wasn’t the meat run I was hoping for but a day of 3 new species is always a good day for me. 

Also it’s funny that fish brain won’t let me log this as a 12” snakefish because it says it exceeds the max length. You look at the picture and tell me if you really think they max out at 9”. 🤦‍♂️
