The Trilene Knot is a great all-around fishing knot. This knot is used for attaching fishing line to swivels, lures, and hooks. The Trilene Knot is double wrapped through the eye of a hook or lure, which keeps the knot strong without breaking.

Step by step

Start by passing the tag end of the line through the eye of a hook or lure two times, forming a small loop.
Pinch the loop between your thumb and forefinger (to hold it in place), and continue to wrap the tag end of the line around the line at least five times and pass the end back through the loops.
Moisten thoroughly and draw tight, end by trimming the tag end.
