Couple bass at a new pond today. One had a chunk missing from the top of its back. Saw a huge 6+ pounder that chases our bait multiple times and even bit a few, but couldn’t get a hook in her.

Another good night at the pond, surprised they were biting so aggressively with the temperature being so high. Only fish I caught on the swim bait tonight. However, bass and bream were absolutely annihilating the donkey tail jr. on my ultralight. Looking forward to chasing some striper this upcoming weekend at the Saluda River. 

Back on the bass again after a brief hiatus over the weekend where panfish were the only thing biting. 15 of these in an afternoon is all I needed to get back on the horse.

30+ fish this size and bigger in one afternoon, plus the heartbreaking loss of a possible PB is always a good day. Getting the opportunity to catch up with a buddy is the icing on the cake.
