Nothing over 12 inches but these wild brooks are amazing

Fun day at NoTelly Lake on Sat.  Lots of snow falling but the fish still came out to play.  Nice Splakers

3 of us went fishing today to NOTELLYLAKE
A wild alpine lake in Banff National Park.
Today way a Bike and Hike and Fish day
The trip in and out with a full walk around the lake gave us 37 km of adventure with over 30+ fish landed.  It’s spawning time right now for these fish so eggs and sperm was spilling out of the fish today.
The lake has Lake Trout, brook trout, and the hybrid Splake.  Lots of very cool colours in the fish.  Larch Trees are nice and orange.

THIS LAKE IS CATCH AND RELEASE and all fish went back safely.  

Best alpine lake fishing day this year so far

Fish sizes ranged from 14 inch to 22 inch
2 to 5 lb so much fun
