Pulled a nice smallmouth out of this tunnel under the road.

First time fishing the Harpeth. It was quite flooded but I found a nice little stream running into that was holding some fish.

Smallmouth were popping on the Harpeth. Also hooked 2 spotted gar, but with no wire leader it didn't take long for them to release themselves. 🤔

Rob Blumberg and I went out today with low expectations. The heavy rains here in Tennessee raised the water levels from 3 ft to 9 ft and made large portions of the rivers unfishable. Given the tough conditions we were facing, we did a great job of getting on the fish.

The fish were holding up in creek mouths feeding into the main river. You could clearly see the line where the clearer creek water mixed with the muddy river water. The fish were holding in this area gorging themselves on worms and taking a break from the current. It was so much fun spending time with a fellow river rat. We caught an awesome mixed bag of smallmouth, largemouth, spotted bass, spotted gar, freshwater drum, and rock bass.
