 The 3 of us had fished the larger lake of the watersheds that day from 6am to 2:45pm and my son never even got a strike. We moved to the smaller watershed lake and was in the water by 3:15, and as soon as we cleared past the Bank Fishermen,started casting. My son made two cast...Now,... lemme explain something,my son has a broken right hand,in a fiberglass splint and wrapped up with an ACE bandage.He is right handed and ONLY has use of the thumb, index and 'bird' finger,casting a spinning rod left handed and reeling with the right(WAAAAY uncomfortable and unusual for him).. He was using a white 2blade 3/8oz spinnerbait with a trailer hook,casting downed brush and treetops.            I had just fished the larger top thoroughly and was about to cast the smaller single top 5ft away when I hear "Got one!!!" and hear his drag SCREAMING off of his camo spinning reel. I reached down to tighten the drag a little bit when I actually saw the size of the Bass. I told him to hold right and keep reeling....and I grabbed the net.
 As I raised this Bass into the boat, the smile on his little face was priceless.. I knew he had a GREAT fish, and that he would have a Bass of his own to hang on the wall next to mine, his pawpaws and his grannys Bass. And this was the ONLY fish he caught, and was THE biggest fish of the day,beating my 5lb 1oz Bass that I later found out was a 'RedEye' Bass,and after filleting it learned that it would have been a NEW Alabama State Record(WAAAAAAAH,WAAAAAAAH!!!!) I almost cried when I found this out. 
 This is my son's BIGGEST Bass to date and I hope there will be more and bigger in his future... I couldn't be prouder for him...
