New PB for Pike caught last night, tied with my biggest Tiger now. Sadly, this big girl did not make it due to swallowing the 10" Kickin' minnow, and cutting/removal of both trebles was not possible and would have caused serious damage from already being lodged in the gill rakers and throat. After 15-20 minutes of trying to revive her, she just kept floating belly side up, so I made the decision to keep her and not let the 17 lbs of amazing meat go to waste rather than letting her float off unstable, only to die shortly after. It's always a gamble when a big, clearly hungry or aggressive fish inhales a lure whole, rather than usually taking them crosswise. Hoping that will be the first and only time that situation ever happens!
