Since all the cool kids are doing it, I figured I would join the fun and post my top catches of 2023.  After putting together only my second full season of bass fishing, (got into the game in May of '21), I can reflect back at this past season and say with confidence that my hard work, dedication and devotion to fishing have produced undeniable results. To serve as an example to the younger generation and to all people in general who find themselves entering into the bass fishing world, I want to be living proof of what you can achieve in this great sport. Make no bones about it; this is a results based sport, you get out of it what you put into it.
2.5 years ago, I defeated a crippling, several year opioid addiction by rediscovering my childhood passion to fish, and I never looked back. Fishing undoubtedly saved my life. It was the perfect way to fill the void in my life that the monster of an opioid addiction leaves. And so it was from that first day 5/7/21, cluelessly beating the bank at Lake Saltonstal with a worm on a bobber, I caught a 6 pound walleye and knew immediately that the "tug" i just felt would be my knew drug.  From that day, I have devoted my life to bass fishing. For the last 2.5 years, I have been as dedicated to this as anyone could be, and the proof is in the pudding. Going from beating the banks with nightcrawlers at Saltonstal to sniping 4+ pound smallies in December on Candlewood using livescope from the deck of my brand new bass boat, its sometimes hard for me to believe how far ive come in such a short time.  But the only reason I have been able to achieve these things is because I wanted it that bad. And if the guy who I used to be over 2.5 years ago could do this, ANY ONE of you guys can too..  I set the bar high and made the personal choice to dedicate my life to becoming the best bass fisherman I could be. And that choice has altered the trajectory of my life in ways I could have never dreamed of! Here's my best season's top catches!!
