A Christmas card from all of us at Fishbrain.
Another year quickly unraveled like a spool of line with a marlin on the other end. As we gather around our family and friends to celebrate the holidays, many of our fishing spots will sit cold for the next three, or more, months. Our rods, reels and tackle boxes sit, tucked away and waiting for the first signs of spring and our Christmas trees are adorned with our favorite fish ornaments.
We hope the wakes from the busy season leading up to Christmas are dissipating and you get to take a moment to reflect on this year. We hope you get to see the friends and family you made memories with on the water and raise a glass to another fishing season that will stay with you forever.
Most of us are already planning next year’s fishing trips with new waters, species and personal best catches. Yet, as visions of hook sets, jumping bass and wild, wandering, river bends dance in our heads at night, let’s not forget about those small moments that made each day worthwhile.
Missed hook sets, the sounds of your reel’s drag and the sight of a sunrise as you jet across the water first thing in the morning, are some of the pieces that make up the puzzle of why we fish.
Another piece of the puzzle that cannot be overlooked is community. Fishbrain is the largest fishing community in the world and that is only made possible by some of the most passionate anglers in the world, our members.
Whether you are gathered for a holiday party, singing with your family at church, or looking up into the night sky for a glimpse of St. Nick, we hope you take a moment to appreciate how lucky we are to have each other and for the sport of fishing.
Merry Christmas and happy holidays from all of us at Fishbrain.
