All these states in green have free fishing days (no license required!) in June, with many of those dates on the upcoming two weekends. Free fishing days are a great time to take someone new fishing or get back out there for the first time this season. A few states have free fishing days in July (blue) or August (orange) too, and Alaska (for residents) and Hawaii are year-round. “Convict Fish” aka the Sheepshead 🐑 This aggressive, tasty fish can be found all along the coast. Their favorite foods being crabs, shrimp, barnacles, and even algae make them easy to target around dock pylons and piers. Have you ever caught one this big?
