Wacky Bass Worms 5" 25 Pack
Bulk Bag of 5 Inch Wacky Worms gives you 25 Soft Plastic Stick Baits to slam largemouth bass. We mold them with high quality, flexible United States of America soft plastic in our favorite high producing color patterns. The 5" Wacky Worm is the classic tournament style size and has been used by fishing guides and tournament anglers to land big bass. The fishing guides at Tailored Tackle have been using this style and size of stick baits over the last decade and our enthusiastic followers have been doing the same. Rig them on a 3/0 - 4-0 EWG Worm Hook and a 1/4-3/8 Oz Worm Weight for a solid Texas Rig presentation. Rig them through the middle on a 1/0-2/0 Octopus Hook for a Wacky Worm Rig style and let the flexible, action filled, wacky worm wiggle its way down the water column. Save a few bucks without sacrificing professional quality by getting your Tailored Tackle Bulk 25 Count 5" Wacky Worms online. Works great on our bass hooks available in the Fishing Hook Kit.
Picking the Right Wacky Worm Color
Seductive Wacky Worm colors like Watermelon Candy and Junebug sport tantalizing sparkles that call in bass from afar. For a classic approach, Green Pumpkin and Pumpkin Seed maintain those natural forage colors that get even the most finicky bass to strike. We like to Texas Rig the flashy colors and Wacky Rig all of them. More specialized colors like Bubblegum and Pearl Silver are fantastic for saltwater and salmonid species like steelhead and salmon when pitching soft plastics underneath floats during river runs. For big smallmouth bass, we love to Ned Rig the Chartreuse Pepper and Black with Blue Flakes when jigging in deep water. Especially during the early and late hours.
Rigging up your Stick Baits
These Wacky Worms are a great supplement to the Bass Fishing Kit which will give you all the terminal tackle to rig up your stick baits for Wacky Rigs, Texas Rigs and Carolina Rigs. Adding a Wacky O Ring to your Wacky Rig will increase the longevity of your plastic and also improve your hook sets while reducing your lost lures. Push one of these up to the middle of your Wacky Worm, then pierce a 1/0 Octopus Hook underneath the ring. We like to scrape under a little of the plastic worm for a snug fit. Work wacky worms along the bottom by adding a bullet weight for the Texas Rig. This rig lets you punch through cover, and turns your worm up to look like it is wiggling of the bottom as you bounce it along. To get your stick bait deeper, tie on a Carolina Rig with a 1-2 ft leader to that your worm lifts up a few feet off the bottom, right in the bass strike zone.
