Don’t know anything about the training lagoon but almost all these catches are actually at big fossil creek by I35 behind the dominoes and Ghengis grill, below the parking platform or from the platform itself. Big fossil creek is a wonderful place to fish, usually clear water to sight fish for sunfish (7 species of sunfish reside here) and to catch the bass which are on the smaller side but bite on everything. I’ve personally caught only one bass here over 4 pounds.

What a beautiful place to come and fish. weather you wanna take a run, watch the moon or sun rise and set or just hang out with family and friends this is the place to be! lots of trails for walking or biking. The rocks that cross this part of river is a great place to fish and there are even kayak sloughs to get from the top to the bottom. ive seen all kinds of fish come out of here including big blue catfish and gar, sand bass and of course largemouth bass! A must go to place for everyone. #fishbrainchallenge
