The best part about Snake Den Hollow State Fish & Wildlife Area is the expanse of land & the diversity of water there is to fish. From honing your skills at some of the smaller ponds and lakes to making it to the big lake and testing those skills Snake Den has several accesses to smaller water locations and main access for the big lake as well. Named after the creek that flows through it snake den was previously a mining site in the 60's and 70's but is now a well maintained fishery. Highly would one recommend to follow the trails and make the adventure to some of the smaller maintained locations for not much do which makes it an amazing opportunity to get a new PB. The diversity in animals even the one's that aren't in the water makes it a constant awe when you observe your surroundings and take time to appreciate nature. DO NOT LITTER. expensive fines as well as losing access to the property is not something you want because you can't clean up after yourself. Please respect the nature and wildlife around you and try to make it a goal to leave the place cleaner than you left it.
