Great spot on TN river, just behind campus. came up on a recommend from a friend. After about an hour and a few bites but nothing to show for it. Landed nice green sunfish. About 20 minute later pole folds in half 8lb catfish. And while removing his hook. Landed a little striped. Great clean area off bike trail. Can walk up a bit and fish third creek too. I bottom fish mainly. Throw lures in the creek. But love this spot.

I love this bend in the river and it’s quick and easy to get to from the boat ramp at Kelly’s bend . Even the float down to the hole is great fishing . All the down timber makes for a great flathead habitat and blues are here also . Not to mention this little stretch of river holds some very nice smallmouth. Easy access great spot for a quick or all night catfish trip !
