This lake is great, plenty of fish. Lots of coastline, mostly behind businesses, warehouses, distribution centers, etc. There are 6 “forks” the ends of which end at 25th St. The lake spans between 25th and 12th streets. I saw what had to be a for sure 8-9lb peacock Bass once. Couldn’t catch it. There are tons of Mayans, Largemouth, and Peacock Bass. There are tilapia as well. Enormous grass carp. Saw at least a 20 lb carp. And a few a bit smaller but still huge. Parking is available in many places, just mind the business signs for the lots. And don’t get caught kayaking when there are people waterskiing. It is a supposed private ski club lake. They will yell at you and tell you it’s for “liability concerns” that you not kayak there. Whatever. Do it safely, stick to the edges or at night. Probably tops off at 8-10 ft deep from what I can see but mostly 5-6ft. Plenty of shallows, lily pads, sunken logs, etc. just look around. Plenty of bites, every time I go.
