it's a great place to park and fish. Sometimes it's a little overcrowded but you usually can catch pin fish if nothing else. Between March and May the Mackerel run pretty good and there's always grouper and snapper to be caught, as well as sharks and kingfish if you have the right setups. Look for guys wearing TBFC on their shirts or decals on their cars. They're part of the Tampa Bay Fishing Club that you can join on Facebook or Instagram and they can usually help you out and give you sound advice.

This place is always relaxing for me. Hearing the water splash below the pier, smelling the fresh salty air, watching the stars at night and watching the sun rise, and watching the Skyway bridge change colors at night; these are the things that you’ll experience while fishing on this pier. Also, the employees at the shop are always so nice and professional. Definitely recommend this place if you want to get away from the city life and just enjoy a nice day or night of fishing.
