I fish here every year and I’ve caught tons of sheepies, mackeral and drum out here but it just gets a little crowded sometimes and it can become hard to find a fishing spot on the pier (sometimes). Also get there early in the morning because parking gets taken up really fast and it’s hard to find other parking spots near the pier once it’s taken up (parking also costs money there).

So much life out there and very little boat traffic since it's a mangrove estuary. We see dolphins, manatees, birds of prey and all kinds of different fish. with that said, it's difficult to navigate and can be extremely shallow on areas. Lots to explore by kayak or trolling motor.
